Sikh Guard is an initiative that aims to encourage the reporting of hate crime by members of the Sikh community throughout the United Kingdom. The National Sikh Police Association UK has initiated the project in conjunction with True Vision and other community-based organisations concerned about under-reporting and the need to make the authorities aware of the true extent of anti-Sikh hate.
Encouraging the reporting of anti-Sikh hate is important for several reasons, not least as it helps local authorities realise the true extent of hate crime against the community and pool appropriate resources to help tackle the problem.
We would like to thank the True Vision team for their support in helping to bring this initiative to fruition.
